Spitzer Dodge

          - Dodge Avenger - For 2012, the Avenger is available in four trim levels: SE, SXT and R/T. The standard engine on all but the R/T is 2.4L 173-hp 4-cylinder engine, paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission on the SE and a 6-speed auto on the SXT and R/T. Standard on the R/T and optional elsewhere is Chrysler's 3.6L Pentastar V6, which makes 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. It comes only with the 6-speed automatic. Safety features in the Avenger include multistage front airbags, active head restraints for the front seats and front and rear side-curtain airbags.           - Dodge Caliber - The 2012 Dodge Caliber hatchback comes with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that makes 158 horsepower. It's connected to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or an optional continuously-variable transmission (CVT).           - Dodge Challenger - The Challenger remains offered in four different trims-SXT, SXT Plus, R/T, R/T Plus and SRT8-that correspond to different engines, while a number of packages can help give the Challenger quite a range of possible styles and driving characteristics. The base model comes with a 305-horsepower 3.6L V6 engine and 5-speed automatic transmission. For the V8 it comes on the Challenger R/T, which offers a 379-hp, 5.7L 'Hemi' V8 and either a 5-speed automatic or 6-speed manual transmission.           - Dodge Charger - The Dodge Charger was re-introduced in 2006, with much of the same muscle-car character as its 1960s ancestor. Featuring a big, roomy interior, a choice of powerful V6 or V8 engine as well as rear-wheel or all-wheel drive, it has a lot of appeal for any mid-size car buyer. Four different models of the Charger cover the range from comfort-oriented V6 sedan all the way up to true four-door muscle car. The Charger SE and SXT models include a 3.6L V6 that uses variable valve timing to make 292 horsepower and 260 ft-lb of torque. The Charger R/T comes with a 5.7L Hemi V8 that produces 370 horsepower and 395 ft-lb of torque.           - Dodge Durango - The Dodge Durango got a complete redesign for 2011. It now features a true upscale exterior, reminiscent of the Lincoln Navigator, an imposing front "crosshair" grille, rounded headlights and a square-ish shape that looks impressive on the road and makes a statement wherever it goes. The Durango is available three trims: SXT, Crew, R/T and Citadel. All three come with a standard 3.6L V6 and offer a 5.7L Hemi V8 as well as all-wheel or rear-wheel drive. The V6 comes with a 5-speed automatic and a new 6-speed automatic comes with the V8. The V6 is Chrysler's Pentastar V6. It's capable of 290 horsepower.           - Dodge Grand Caravan - There are five Grand Caravan trims for 2012: American Value, SE, SXT, Crew and R/T. All Grand Caravans come with a 3.6L V6 engine that makes 283 hp and a 6-speed automatic with Autostick manual control. Anti-lock brakes, tire-pressure monitoring, multi-stage front air bags and supplemental side curtain air bags for all three rows of seats are standard equipment, which contributed to its across-the-board 5-star safety ratings from the NHTSA. All Grand Caravans also get the electronic stability program. The Crew gets a ParkView back-up camera. Convenience is a must in any minivan.           - Dodge Journey - The Dodge Journey is Chrysler's small crossover SUV, with seating for either five or seven, depending on equipment. It's available in five different trim levels: American Value, SE, SXT, Crew and R/T. Two engines are available for 2012: a 2.4L 4-cylinder and a 3.6L V6. The 4-cylinder makes 173 horsepower and 166 lb-ft of torque, while maintaining an EPA estimated fuel mileage of 19 city and 26 highway. The 3.6L V6 makes 283 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, with fuel mileage estimated at 17 city and 25 highway. The American Value and SE come standard with the 4-cylinder engine, while all others come with the V6. The Journey comes with front-wheel drive in all trims, and the SXT, Crew and R/T are available with an all-wheel drive powertrain.

         - Didge Nitro - The 2011 Dodge Nitro is offered in four different models: Heat, Shock and Detonator. All but the base Heat model include an all-aluminum 260-hp, 4.0L V6 engine, while the Heat starts with a 210-hp, 3.7-liter V6. The base engine gets a 4-speed automatic, while a 5-speed automatic comes with 4.0L models. Both engines include an Interactive Decel Fuel Shut Off (IDFSO), which helps improve fuel economy by completely shutting off the fuel injectors at times when decelerating. EPA fuel economy estimates run as high as 16 mpg city and 22 mpg highway when equipped with the 3.7-liter and rear-wheel drive. Each Nitro model may be equipped with rear-wheel drive or 4-wheel drive.
