My insurance has approved the collision repairs. What is next?

In most cases, the insurance adjuster will contact you, the insured, once the estimate has been approved. If so, once your insurance agent has approved collision repairs, contact us to schedule an appointment. If the adjuster contacts us to approve the estimate, we will then contact you to set up a time for repairs. Your insurance will then issue a check for the total estimate minus any applicable deductibles.

Am I expected to communicate with my insurance company?

Once you have informed your insurance company of the accident, we can send all the required materials to the company, including the estimate and photos. Who will my insurance company make the check out to? Where will the check be sent?

Each insurance company issues checks differently. The check will most likely be made to the insured and the body shop. When the check is made to the insured and the body shop, they mail it to either party. In other cases, the check is written to the insured alone and sent to your residence. Some insurance companies will even issue a three-party check made out to the insured, bank, and body shop.
