American Red Cross
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
Cross Cultural Center/Ocean Reef
The Cultural Center at Ocean Reef offers an impressive variety of entertainment and educational events for members and residents of the Ocean Reef Club: movies, musical performances, live theater, lectures, and special receptions. The Center is home to a 300-seat theater, a library, a museum, meeting rooms, and a courtyard for outdoor receptions.
LCCC Foundation
Lorain County Community College Foundation, a non-profit organization, assembles and utilizes resources in innovative ways to accelerate the mission and vision of Lorain County Community College.
Lorain Police Charitable Foundation
The Lorain Police Officers Charitable Foundation works to uplift underprivileged children in the area by offering them a special Christmas shopping experience through their annual Cops & Kids program. The foundation’s work is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of these children during the holiday season.
Amherst Ohio Garden Club
The Amherst Garden Club works to provide education resources and networking opportunities for our members to promote the love of gardening, civic landscaping and environmental responsibility. The club also provides funds for local community projects.
Second Harvest Food Bank
Second Harvest Food Bank works with over 100 partner charities and works to grow hope in our region by creating pathways to nutritious foods is done with partnerships and innovation.
Big Brothers, Big Sisters
Big Brothers and Big Sisters work to create a community that fosters connection. They empower young people through mentoring relationships that give them the confidence and skills to navigate life and thrive.
Salvation Army
The Salvation Army provides economic empowerment, education, employment opportunities, healthcare, emergency relief and disaster response to help people in need all over the world. They help people fulfill their potential through lifelong learning and development; engaged in social justice and action to positively impact the world.
Friendship APL
Friendship APL owns and operates the largest animal shelter in the Elyria, Ohio area. They receive no government funding and are dedicated to ensuring that no animal should suffer without the basic necessities to live a healthy life, providing the education to promote and nurture the human/animal bond and treating all those who seek our help with kindness, dignity and respect.
Playhouse Square
Playhouse Square strives to surprise and inspire the world. They celebrate the richness of their diverse community through performances, education, and the stewardship of their area.
Lorain County Historical Society
The Lorain County Historical Society collects, preserves, and shares the history of Lorain County, Ohio to educate and inspire present and future generations. They work to be a respected hub of learning about history, where all people are encouraged to make history a meaningful part of their lives.
Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund
The Bob Perks Cancer Assistance Fund helps ease the financial burden of individuals and families in
our community who are battling cancer by providing funding for basic necessities so their focus is
on treatment and recovery.
Camp I.D.E.A.S.
Camp I.D.E.A.S. provides an affordable opportunity for children with special needs to participate in these activities in a safe environment with trained, caring, mentors.
Holiday with Heroes
Spitzer Volkswagen and Spitzer Chevy Amherst are proud to sponsor Holiday with Heroes, a special event with Save Our Children and the Elyria Police Department to bring joy and magic to the children of Elyria. Join us December 11, 2025.

Santa made a special stop in Jackson Township this December 10, 2025, arriving in true hometown hero style thanks to the Jackson Township Fire Department. Spitzer Chevrolet Lordstown is honored to sponsor wreaths for our local veterans laid to rest at the Jackson Township Cemetery in North Jackson through Wreaths for Vets.
Make a Wish
The Make A Wish Tote Board, sponsored by Spitzer Autoworld DuBois and Spitzer Subaru, raised over $117,000 for the Make a Wish Foundation.
First Class Children’s Foundation
A huge thank you to the teams at Spitzer GM, Subaru, Ford, and Honda in DuBois for coming together to donate $1,500 toward our KICKS program in December 2025.
Giving Tuesday 2025
