What is Spitzer Shield? Spitzer Shield is Spitzer Autoworld’s included vehicle protection program. It’s warranty coverage automatically bundled with every new and Certified Pre-Owned vehicle purchased at Spitzer, designed to give buyers confidence that their vehicle is protected against unexpected mechanical issues after the sale.
Does Spitzer Shield cost extra? No. Spitzer Shield benefits are included at no additional charge on every eligible new and Certified Pre-Owned vehicle sold at Spitzer Autoworld — you don’t have to purchase it as a separate add-on.
What does the Nationwide Lifetime Powertrain Warranty cover? On new vehicles, Spitzer Shield includes a Nationwide Lifetime Powertrain Warranty with unlimited time and unlimited miles at no additional charge. Coverage requires the owner to complete regular maintenance at the manufacturer’s specified intervals and document it, and repairs must be performed at the Spitzer location where the vehicle was purchased.
Where is the powertrain warranty valid? The Nationwide Lifetime Powertrain Warranty is effective anywhere in the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada, so coverage travels with you even if you move or drive out of state.
What is the $1,000 Price Protection Guarantee? The $1,000 Price Protection Guarantee promises Spitzer’s lowest price on a new vehicle purchase or lease. If a shopper finds a lower price, Spitzer will match it or provide $1,000 off the purchase.
How do I claim the $1,000 Price Protection Guarantee? Bring in a competing dealership’s physical written offer for an identical vehicle — same MSRP, make, model, year, options, and trim level, with matching lease or purchase terms and in stock — within 3 days of the current date and from a dealership within 50 miles of your local Spitzer store. The guarantee excludes specialty vehicles and does not apply to prior purchases.
What powertrain warranty comes with a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle? Spitzer Certified Pre-Owned vehicles include a 7-year/100,000-mile nationwide powertrain warranty at no additional charge. Coverage runs for the remainder of the limited warranty term and ends 84 months from the coverage effective date or at 100,000 miles from zero, whichever comes first. A deductible applies per visit.
Does Spitzer Shield include bumper-to-bumper coverage on used vehicles? Yes. Spitzer Certified Pre-Owned vehicles include a 3-Month/3,000-Mile Limited Comprehensive Bumper-to-Bumper coverage. If you purchase the vehicle within the manufacturer’s basic warranty, this coverage begins after that warranty expires; if you purchase it beyond the basic warranty, it begins on the Spitzer Certified purchase date.
What is the 3-Day/300-Mile Exchange Guarantee? Certified Pre-Owned buyers can exchange their vehicle for one of equal or lesser value within 3 days or 300 miles of purchase, whichever occurs first, giving buyers added confidence in their decision.
Does Spitzer Shield provide a rental car if my vehicle needs repairs? Yes. Certified Pre-Owned vehicles under Spitzer Shield include rental reimbursement of $35 per day, up to 2 days, if your vehicle needs overnight repairs.
What is the 172-point inspection? Every Spitzer Certified vehicle undergoes a 172-point inspection covering everything from brakes to bulbs, along with Spitzer’s certified reconditioning process, before it’s eligible to carry the Certified Pre-Owned designation.
How do I know a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle has a clean history? Every Spitzer Certified Pre-Owned vehicle must pass a comprehensive vehicle history evaluation confirming it’s free from reported salvage, fire, flood damage, odometer issues, or lemon history, and it comes with a clean vehicle title report.
Can I extend my coverage beyond what Spitzer Shield includes? Yes. Spitzer Certified vehicles qualify for extendible protection through several levels of extended service contracts, which can include emergency roadside assistance, rental reimbursement, or EnviroShield™ coverage.
Which vehicles are excluded from Spitzer Shield? Spitzer Shield covers new and Certified Pre-Owned vehicles only. It does not include commercial inventory, electric vehicles, or “as is” pre-owned vehicles that have not been through Spitzer’s certification process.
How do I get service or file a claim under Spitzer Shield? Complete warranty repairs at the Spitzer location where you purchased your vehicle.
